Gentle Graces...Meekness

August 23, 2015 | Jim Ramsak | Colossians 3:12 -14

"It is a strange thing to be considered "meek" in this day and age. People automatically assume that we will be talking about being "doormats" or something. But when we look at the people of God, we see that God has enabled us to stand out among the hardiest of the world and to keep our Christ-likeness in spite of all we have faced. It is true that God has given this grace to His people of the Old Testament, but He has given it in a new and invigorating way to the Church. As we have seen as recently as the murders that have taken place in Syria and Charleston, SC, the Church makes significant statements with such cries as "I have forgiven you!" in the face of such atrocities. May God embolden his People to stand up for His redeeming grace!"
