100 Days of Prayer

Colossians 1:11-12

Being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

In this passage, Paul gives us hope and tells us our strength comes from Him according to His might (Eph. 3:16-20). All too often it's easy to become discouraged by the moment or the immediate circumstance. The assurance given to us is to endure, both this season and the next, with patience and joy that can only come from God (Psalm 16:11). Think about that for just a moment; the strength we have is from His glorious might. That's the very same might that created the universe, the same that made the earth in seven days and the very "might" that stopped time and made the sun go backward! This is the power He has imparted to us through the Spirit. Furthermore, we are to give thanks - through both the good times and bad; to keep our eyes on Him; whatever is in front of you, know that it's only temporary. Remember seasons come and go and the promise we have is our inheritance, to live where God himself dwells.
