Prayer is fundamentally asking God for something. It’s asking him to provide, to intervene, to make things right. God loves to hear us pray because as we pray we confess that we need him. Our prayers admit that what is wrong, we cannot fix. Only God can do that and we are asking him to meet our needs. So during this 100 Days of Prayer for CrossWay and our search for a new pastor, we know that we must be diligent: the Elders must lead, the Search Committee must search and the Congregation must give thoughtful input. Even so, our diligence is not the solution. What we require for such a time as this is a renewed understanding of how needy we really are. Keep praying!
Blessed are those whose strength is in you. (Psalm 84:5)
